Re: D736 BLB - White 1.3 litre

Looks like it it had some time off the road in 2014 and 2017 as there's no MOT records for those years but apart from that it's been kept MOTed. And is currently road legal with both Tax and MOT, however only doing very low miles (30-50) a year for the past few years it would seem.

Re: blaupunkt multichanger location

This thread has encouraged me to buy a new lead for my multi-changer, since I'd fitted the old lead so well under the carpet, and accidentally trapped it when I refitted the heater box, I left the lead in the old Golf when I sold it, but I kept the headunit and changer. Not sure how to test without, but I thought you could pick them up for reasonable money.... but on looking can't seem to find anything much below £50. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gunsons-GUNSON-Gastester-MK-2-MOT-CO2-Emmisions-Tester-Carb-Tuni...

Re: blaupunkt multichanger location

I put my alpine CD changer in the first aid kid cradle!

Although depending on size as I know some were quite small under the passenger lower dash shelf might be an option.
Other common locations are just mounted to the rear of the seat.

Re: heater blower fan grill water in to the cabin issues?

I think most things are covered in the link of mine that Damien shared. However to add, if there's coolant in the system then any leak would generally have some crystallization in it and/or colour. Now here's the bit that some people don't like - especially in a 30 year old vehicle. If you have damp...
