vw festival harewood - no room!

Postby seegil » Sun Aug 05, 2012 8:56 pm

i've had an e-mail from VW festival saying there's no space left for any more club stands (except aircooled),it looks we've missed out this year :(
if anyone has space to fill on another club stand let me know and i'll join you!

Surprised that this is the first time this show has been mentioned on here seeing as it's only two weeks away
They had run out of space when I looked at the beginning of July....

On a plus point just had a another great day at VWNW Tatton Park :D

I'll indirectly be representing us on the Volksgirls clubstand, and losing my clubstand virginity at the same time...

They should have made a space for the Mk2 Golf OC. Totally ridiculous set up they are far too officious and charge too much £35 per head for camping and then charge you £3 for a shower and dont provide wash/basin facilitys, just down right greedy in my opinion. There did not seem to be a big show of "Air Cooled" this yearand there could have been less cars overall?.I went on the Mk1 Golf oc stand cost me £12 per head (pre booked) more on the day.Actually a very good show still glad I went and did not camp due to cost. The organisers of this really need to think and look at this show set up,as it can only go down hill me thinks.Anyway If you stayed away at least you wont feel "Fleeced"....winge over.

When I went to book this some months ago, was told then no as we were not aircooled. Hence I didn't start the thread.

i think it was more due to the popularity of the show, the club stands booked up very quickly, they try and keep a good mix of air and watercooled, but there were a lot of watercooled clubs.
It was a fantastic show though with some really good cars,i'll post some pics up soon.
