Value of car

Postby Sarahpiddock » Mon Jul 27, 2015 5:55 pm

My uncle passed away last month and left us a c reg golf 1300. It is quite rusty but still runs. Would a collector be interested in restoring it or is it just worth its scrap value if £75?

It depends how rusty it is, but it should definitely be worth more than £75. I hear the kids are all after 1.3s on account of the insurance. Photos will help.

Here's a tidy 1.3 on eBay as a guide: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... ID=EBAY-GB

It's definitely worth more than £75. Could be a nice little project for someone.

Got to be £400-£1000 upper end if it's got a long mot. Always a strong market for 1.3 cheap insurance for the kids.

The tidy one I posted up there appears to have sold for £1200.
