beesting aerial cables

hiya
just put another besting aerial on my golf to replace the old broken one but the cable coming from the front of the car has one coax and one sort of power cable but the one coming from the besting only has one coax cable lead.....whats the second power cable thing for and how do i join it all together to get it to work?

Its most likely for a boosted (signal) aerial.
Mk3/4 have them as standard. So when you fit an aftermarket stereo you have to add an extra live or your possible won't get a great signal.
