Refitting large spline adaptor...

Postby rickygolf83 » Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:38 pm

Hi,

I am currently fitting a new steering column shaft to my 8v.

I have removed the large spline adaptor from the replacement shaft and am now ready to fit my ignition housing to it before refitting the adaptor to allow me to install the stalks etc.... and steering boss.

My question is, how much effort does the adaptor require to mount back on?

Will it slide on no bother with the spring or will I need to any tools/force to do it?

Asking out of interest before I try it over the coming days!

thanks
