I bought a new aftermarket door lock for my mk2 Golf GTI a couple of years ago which didn't work so I ended up buying a second hand original one which worked perfectly. I know you take a risk buying old but the new aftermarket one just wouldn't work.

It's probably the sensor in the top of the reservoir, try taking it out and clean it.

The side arms just hook into the deflector.

Have you established it's a coolant or oil leak yet?
The oil pressure switch is to the left of the circle you've drawn with the wire attached.
