Sorry this is the first time I have used this site hope this is in the right place I have had a problem with the fuel gauge not working so I started by putting the purple wire on the sender to earth gauge didn't move so I looked at the gauge put 12v on the back of the gauge and it moved so I put a meter on the 12v stablizer and it had good 9.9v out I have got a new fuel gauge now in and no joy I charge the stablizer still nothing but I got smoke when I looked the end resister was glowingso I put the old stabilizer back on and a new resister any more idea's please
I have had a problem with the fuel gauge not working so I started by putting the purple wire on the sender to earth gauge didn't move so I looked at the gauge put 12v to it out side the cluster and it moved OK so I put a meter on the 12v stablizer and it had good 9.9v out on the left and 9.9 out on the right put only 5.6 on the middle I have got a new fuel gauge now in and no joy I charge the stablizer still nothing but it was pushing out 11.3 and I got smoke when I looked the end resister was glowing the first one in line I think to cluster lights has anyone got any ideas as I have ran out 😄
