Title: Paint correction, first time on the MK2
Post by: PWardy on October 15, 2021, 04:54:11 PM
Decided to test my paint correction skills on the MK2, the whole car requires paint correction.  I have the sun roof off to replace the seal so I thought I would give it a go.  If it goes wrong I can't see it, if it goes very wrong it is a small paint job and bonus; I can do it in the kitchen.
Before, the mushroom thing in the top left is the kitchen extractor fan.   30 years of scratches, mainly care scratches:

Now it is not 100% and my pads were a bit aggressive, so I need to go back to my detailing supplier.  However if I can get the whole car to this or better standard then I'm going to be happy.

I did the job using exactly this technique and products https://youtu.be/9JTxGf2Lvp4
