Title: Cylinder head off 1.6 EZ - blocked hole

I pulled off the cylinder head off Golf 1.6 EZ 1991. Should I be worried that one of the holes looks blocked? Cylinder no.1 is reading lower on compression and trying to sort out my overheating issues.
