i bought myself a golf mk2 thought it would be a good car
but the bastard refuse to live, it worked fine, then a week later i was starting the car, and nothing happend, lights turn on, fan work, but thats it, and all we did was park the car after driving it from the workshop (about 5-10km)
we have checked the cambelt setting,
we did a compression test and it was totaly fine
changed the
-Sparkplugs
-Ingition leads
-rotor arm to the distributor
-distributor cap
-ignition coil
-the 7 pin module next to the "igniton coil"
-the battery,
-fuelpump,
-ignotion switch
-hall sender
and still nothing happends,
the fan goes on, the lights goes on, but the car just refuse to start, we even tryed with "start gas" just incase it was something wrong with the fuel, but no response there ether
anyone have and idea what could be the problem, coas im all out of ideas, it went from working fine and park the car, and one week later dead." so i RREALY REALY need some help on what the issue can be
Hi,
Forgive me for asking stupid questions, you have done a lot of work, but have you figured out if you have spark and fuel?
Essentially, if you have spark, fuel, air, compression and timing, it should start.
You've proven compression and timing, air should be a given, so I'd go for spark and fuel.
First thing I'd do is pull out a spark plug, connect it back to the lead, earth it against the chassis and test for spark.
Also, inspect the plug and see if they are wet.
That'll tell you if you have anything missing.
