Just uncovered our Golf Mk2 GTi 8v White (big bumper) that has been under a cover for the last 4 years. Prior to that it had visited a garage for extensive welding that didn't end well. First job is to replace the fuel pump. Looking forward to starting a new project. Prior to that my only real experience was extensive work on a Citroen Xsara Forte which my son now drives and it goes brilliantly. We owned our Golf since 1993 ish. My wife can't wait to see it running again and neither can I.
