Title: Hello from Shropshire, my '89 16v and I
Post by: Son of Saxon on March 18, 2021, 04:35:23 PM
Hello from Shropshire. Recently picked up a Mk2 Golf: 1989 3-door 16v. Been sat since 2008, so slowly inspecting. Glad to find a forum with recent activity posted. Look forward to getting stuck in. Cheers, Jon

Yes, I have plenty of pictures. Quite a few on the website:

This page is all about the Golf.

And this page is about how I ended up with the Golf: more images of it on this page in fact

It's pretty much all original, as far as I can tell, but certainly needs a freshen up. Bodywork needs doing, as well as an overhaul of the running gear.

I have two potential plans for it: one is to feature in a magazine idea that I'm working on, and/or tackle a world record, which I attempted back in 1994 in a Mk1.

Until then, I might document the build in some shape or form: maybe just as a blog on my website or possibly an online channel. Not sure yet. I'll gather all the bits I need first and then think about how/if to document it.
