Title: Engine Blocks - MK2 Nerds Only...
Post by: L90E on August 03, 2021, 07:40:47 PM
This sort of thing interests me... apologies in advance.

Casting details on my block that probably aren't normally visible - Got me looking and sure enough that 'EB' logo is likely the manufacturer in this case, dare say VW used more than one - be interesting (to me) if more were added as they're found.

Anybody know what the large 'A' signifies?

Company's still on the go, website has some links - http://www.eb-bruehl.com/en/ (http://www.eb-bruehl.com/en/)

Must denote CC as MK1 DX has a 1.8 there instead?

Isn't the MK2 designated the A2 in the US?
