I'm after a big bumper GTI 8 or 16v. Ideally it would have MOT and be in useable condition with just enough project type tasks needed for me to tinker through.
Message me with anything you think might be of interest. I'd don't care about mileage - 250k would not put me off if the rest of it checked out for example.

That is a relief to get my hands on one again. Luckily it has MOT too so I can really bond it with unlike my old which firmly in the project category.

It's an oak green big bumper 16v... it arrives tomorrow.... MOT'd.

Here it is - picked up from seller and will be with me in a few hours.
It does look special on those alloys but I am afraid I will be looking to go back to something a little more stock looking and will sell them. I overspent a little on the car so they will help get me straight again. I did not think I'd be able to get my hands on a big bumper 16v so am really happy I've got one.

(After white of course) Oak green's up there with the best colours for a MK2, was it the millionth Golf that first came in that colour?
Do remember that the first one I ever saw was when they were only just available and fell in behind one in traffic in Belfast... aimlessly followed it about for 20 minutes just to ogle it.
Thanks! Hope do but I don't mind tinkering and will restore it as best as I can a bit like my Corrado. As you can see I prefer a OEM + sort of look with modest lowering, smaller wheels. I don't mind engine work - corrado has 263 cams and I believe that mk2 has an ABF bottom end.

I'd swap the wheels between the corrado and the golf.
The corrado will be more appealing/worth more and the golf will look great!
I think they are the wrong stud patters - corrado is 5x100 but could go adapters. I don't like big wheels on small cars though - the they the r a r er 16in versions of the original speedlines. I managed to get one of the last sets in the speedline Italy factory from an American order back in the day.
The golf is temporarily going on some Borbet Cs I have in the shed but will be looking for some BBS RAs probably. Such a classic look in my eyes the mk2 big bumber with RAs.
Ahh, I glanced at the corrado and thought it was a 4 stud.
