Oh yes, a fair amount of foam has already come out and will be blown out with an air line to clear it out. Would seem a but of a waste of time to have gone to all the trouble of cleaning the dash up and to not ensure there's no foam left.

Hadn't thought of reinforcing the dash heater opening. But that's a good idea. Wonder if I could 3D print something?  :))

Mine was really low tech.
Dash Aperture Reinforcement
You might have to zoom in to see the black plastic card hiding in the shadow.
Think I used 1mm card stuck on the inner of both the long sides. "G cramps" and wood to ensure they set straight/square.

and another thing...I just remembered.
Make sure the two "cardboard" halves of the dash are still glued together. Mine came apart along the front joint so I was never going to get max screen demist on a winter's morning. I used some sealant to fill the gap.
