Cheers, yeah nobody hurt so all good. Haha...you are not wrong about the bland and design it was a Hyundai I20 which, whilst was the most boring car in the world, worked as a daily as she was owned from new by an older lady that main dealer serviced her for 8 years. Was gutted because the cars value...

And she's home, dropped off at 21.30 last night. Helped the guys fit the window regs and sunroof, missing a few bits from the sunroof but I can finally work on it now. A belated update: After over 1,500 miles I am really enjoying the GTi. The fuel filter and fuel pump (again!) have been replaced and I have sourced a period Blaupunkt ‘Bristol’ radio cassette, which is very basic! I’m not sure how long I can live with it so may look for a higher spec model with tho...
