ok , i believe skimming the head down to near minimum increases compression? how thick do i leave the head? serious answers please ;)

why do you want to increase the compression ? it's plenty as it is, if useing an ABF block it's actualy a bit high as it is. unless some intresting cams are going in then really you cant get the cr high enough with skimming the head

ahh it's 8 valve, there is no point skimming the head to gain cr, you raise it the square root of naff all just skim the head so it's flat if you want to go a bit faster tri cutting the valve seats will help a LOT more

excellant , saved me good few bob , pickin up a polished n ported head tomo wi high lift cam n just going to horse it straight in
