problem with fuel blowing out of carburetor

Postby Stephen » Mon Aug 05, 2019 12:52 pm

i joined your forum last week for i have been looking around to get help or suggestion on problem i have with mk2 golf 1.6 1989
i started with having to replace core plugs at rear engine in doing so found oil around engine looked coming from rocker cover and camshaft
seal than as i was removing cam i though i replace valve seals and timing belt. Completed work went though re setting timing with T.D.C.
have golf running had to get pierburg 2e2 carb stage 2 part going with seal kit and clean vacuum pipes in carb when i start to build up revs
i found as they increase the fuel spray out of carb increases i'm thinking a inlet valve or valves are letting exhaust gas in to carb and forcing
the fuel out

Any helpful information would be appreciated.

Thanks
