Title: mfa
Post by: scs on August 26, 2021, 09:31:44 PM
When I bought the car the mfa did not work. I have investigated and believe the display screen is shot I have sourced a replacement screen. Further to that I found the vacuum pipe disconnected I have not tried to connect it as the pipe looks to small a diameter the question is is there an adaptor between the two? The car is a 1990 with ce2 electrics.

You should have a rubber hose on the end or the more rigid plastic hose. Is yours missing?

the pipe is soft rubber hose and is quite pliable, there should be a barb on the back of the clocks and the pipe goes directly onto it.

Thanks the pipe does appear to be soft rubber just thought the diameter looked small compared to the ribbed mfa connection.

Should fit if it's all still original. The length can be a bit tricky, I have considered extending this but it's a bigger issue usually trying to get the speedo cable to snap on.

Just disconnect it in the engine bay (near the nrv) and then push the excess pipe back through the grommet.
All the length you need then ;)
