So, what are your car-related plans or ambitions for the year ahead? Whether it’s finishing a restoration, planning a road trip, or a something totally different, it would be really interesting to hear what people are lining up…!
My own plan for next year is to treat the Mk2 to an uncommon “long-distance” (for me) road trip, from SE England to the Yorkshire Dales - visiting the highest pub in the UK while I’m at it. It’s not something I would even be entertaining if it wasn’t for the help and advice from everyone on here over the past year and more - thanks all, and Happy New Year!
Get the v5 fitted that I've had for at least 7 years.
Car is in body shop getting the rust sorted.
I'm hoping to get the red one finished and have both mk2s up to the National Meet!
Well the Mk2 this coming year should have her headlining done :) and engine tuned.
Plus, there is a possibility that she will be joined by another :0
Hopefully be able to take my Golf to a car show or two.
Go to a few shows, hopefully track it too
Use the car as much as possible, get to as many shows as i can and do the London to Brighton run thats organised
after santa, not putting in abs, aircon and 5-gear-drive,
i think about welding the rear edge of the rear wheel house, this year,
although i have never welded before.

but i do not know when and where they are.
