Title: Anyone for a visit to The Motorist Sun 20 March?
Post by: AndyBa on March 17, 2022, 08:34:38 PM
I'm planning a visit to "Coffee & Cars" at The Motorist (https://www.themotorist.com/coffee-cars-events-featuring) this Sunday 20 March. Anyone else fancy meeting up?

It's south east of Leeds (up north 😀)

Looking at their events schedule it looks like there will be a bunch of Fiats there. We'll be able to let them have a glimpse of good build quality. It would be good to get out and give Golfie a run.

Not sure if their showroom will be open but the cafe will be.

Leeds is south for me.  Got a busy day Sunday, what time were you thinking of being there?

I was aiming to be there from 09:00AM until about 12:00
Just confirmed it's free to attend regardless of mode of transport and the showroom is likely to be open.

There were only two MK2’s there, mine is still in sick bay. I never found the owner of the first MK2 I came across. But I did find Andy and his Mk2.
Good to talk MK2 and put a face to a club member.
I will be going back again.

Paul, good to meet up with you too.
There were plenty of cars there today. Obviously a flock of Fiats including Abarths, but plenty of others including Porsche, Ferrari, MK3, 4, 5 and 7 Golfs, Escort RSs and other random cars including some old yank tanks. Must have been well over 50 cars there.
Weather was sunny and dry but with a chilly breeze!
Bearing in mind the Golf did about 1000 miles between the last MOTs. Just this weekend I've done 150 trouble free miles.
