Title: Whoever nicked my 16v, I am still looking for you....
Post by: Billy Bongo on April 26, 2022, 10:10:16 AM
Hi,

Had two black Mk1s and one atlas grey'88 16v Mk2 which was nicked many years ago. Got the car back totally trashed and always regretted taking the insurance money, but the engine was blown, the gearbox knackered, wiring decorating the back seat. I am still looking for the thief. I will return from beyond the grave to find him and make him build my 16v from scratch using only Lego. Does anybody know where E332 ECU is? It seems to have been scrapped.

Just acquired a 1988 Mk2 GTi 8v in a lovely shade of Burnt Orange or Bronze... that's what it says on the V5. It needs work.

I had forgotten that one needs a muscle to use un-powered steering but it's great at speed and around corners. Just awful in Tesco car park.

Apart from that, glad to be here in more ways than one!

I will need help on my journey of discovery. Just warning you all now. ;D
