Hi to all
Some of you may know my car which I’ve owned since 1997.
It was featured in VW Driver, Performance VW, and the MK2 Haynes manual written by Tim Stiles.
The car was purchased by me in 1997 and my first outing was to AmD in Oddington Oxford to have some new Koni and Eibach’s fitted along with a Remus exhaust.
It’s a 1990 3 door in Alpine white.
The car looks OE but in my ownership it’s morphed into quite a special build. All of this was done by Paul Saunders and Graham Scott formerly of Tim
Stiles Racing. Graham still looks after the car.
I’d like to attend your National show with the car (July??)
Let me know if it’s possible and I’ll dig the history file out! I’ll also be attending RS Combe for a few laps to show the MK1/2’s a clean pair of heels!
Ian
Hi and welcome,
You'll be warmly welcomed to the National Meet I'm sure ;D look forward to meeting you and the car.
Welcome along!
With all the Tim Stiles connections, would you be based around the South West at all?
Welcome to the forum.

Yes I’m based in Burnham on Sea so not far from TSR. It’s looked after by Retro Resus now and Graham Scott. Had full resto in 2012
Can you upload photos onto this site? If so how?
MK2 being MOT’s next week so fingers crossed again!
Probably not in the way you likely mean... there's instructions here for using a communal site account - Imbgg.com (https://www.vwgolfmk2.co.uk/clubforum/index.php?topic=119.0) but the link's no longer there.
I host my own images, hopefully someone who uses the MK2OC one may be able to re-post it here.
