Title: Clunking noise from rear of car

Hi,

I own a MK2 1.6 driver and recently I have started to hear a clunking noise when pulling away or cornering coming from the rear of the car. Anyone experienced this before and know what it could be?

If they've not been done, there's a very real chance your rear beam bushes could be failing.
That'll certainly clunk like you describe.

It could be exhaust rubbers, allowing the back box to bang on the rear beam, especially if your car is lowered.
