Title: Sunroof
Post by: DazH on January 28, 2024, 07:40:57 PM
Just replaced my sunroof seal on my MK2 and just wanted to check all is correct as its rather tight on closing the sunroof.
So where I close it -it almost pushes the top roof skin up, when I try to open it I have to give it a helping touch as it's that snug. Just wanted to know if this is ok with the seal being fresh or if it's deffo not?
Thanks guys.

Forgive me, was a long time ago when i did it, but sounds more like something is out of aline, i remember it being a bit of pig, you could adjust it front to back, and on all 4 corners, and you did'nt have the handle turned all the way closed when refitting it, that made the hole think sit incorrect aswell

mk2 golf stories on youtube after alittle google shows his got a video on the topic, might be worth a glance

Where did you get the seal from? As above, there is adjustments. I remember it being a little tight when I did one previously but not to the extent you describe. I hope you manage to sort it ok.
