I’ve stripped the car to shell ready for the body shop , just seeing if there’s any tips when it’s comes to re feeding the wiring through to the tailgate- really not looking forward to that part 🤣
Take the connectors of the end.
Feed welding wire or similar through the tailgate first, the wire is easier to feed through. You can then tape the wires to the welding wire and pull through.
Also don't forget to pass through the rubber boot
yes fiddley, give yourself a few minutes to prepare, use strong string and wire to guide cables through.
What year car? Early ones have an access hole With a cover grommet half way down. I guess VW developed a technique or tool as they Later did away with it
