Title: 10 Millionth Restoration
Post by: 10 Millionth Campaign on October 29, 2020, 01:16:21 PM
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have an oak green, 3door 1988 campaign that is completely stock and I have owned and garaged for at least the last 15 years. I'm looking to have it professionally restored by a MK2 specialist. I'm not looking for a mate of a mate etc they must be a well known trusted Mk restorer. Any suggestions great fully appreciated. I'm located in Lincolnshire but prepared to travel for the correct restorer. Phil

Can’t help with a recommendation but you’re right to look for somewhere decent. If you find somewhere ask if they mind you contacting some of their customers for a testimonial. Especially ones from a while back. It’s all very good seeing shiny paint but you don’t want rust coming back.

If f they’re confident in their ability they should be ok with it.

Hello and welcome, would worry too much about finding a Mk2 restorer, dependent on what you need doing you need a good spanner man or a good Bodyshop ....

Depending on how deep your pockets are, I've not seen better restorations than those of Resto Shack in Devon.
Have a look on their Facebook page, the work they do is amazing.

No idea how much they charge, but I bet it's not cheap!
