Title: Dead 1995 Cabriolet
Post by: Golf182 on February 25, 2021, 01:18:52 PM
Hello, The car was my son's, just kept stopping and wouldn't start so he gave up after a couple of garage trips in London. Now in the north-east found a few problems in the fusebox which appeared to sort it out. After a month it cut out on a dual carriageway and got carted to a good auto-electrician who sorted out the fusebox. After a new distributor (where there was a fault) it still won't fire up. Sent ECU away for testing and it came back with a clean bill of health. The garage has tried just about everything but it won't deliver a regular spark and therefore won't start. The mechanic needs his space so has asked if I could find a VW cabriolet expert who might have a solution/take it on? The car has a low mileage and in great condition . Anybody out there? John
