Got me beat, 6 and a bit years til pension but that will probably go up
56 for me but who knows when we arrive at a pensionable age. I agree Mark, have the impression that who ever is in government they will deploy an annoying upward "nudge" button just as it approaches.
47 here. But was only 38 when I joined the club. Was 23 (I think) when I had my first Golf GTI Engineering.

Same as me ahaha I got mine in march and drove it with provisional till I passed last month. Don’t know a single other person with a car nearly twice as old as them lol
I'm 38. I think Mk3s were more my era but I like both of them.
Pension age - never probably - my VWs are my pension.
38 - has been the owner of my 16v for 12 years, before that I had Golf mk4's - and a Mk3... just always had Golfs :)

Everest conquered, and current Queen to throne at year of my birth. First Golf when I was deemed to be a ‘yuppie’ in 1988 swiftly followed by a 3 series BMW 2.0i six pot which was more in keeping with the yuppie moniker.

The older I get, the earlier it gets late?
Sometimes I think I bought my golf to try and slow the process (revisiting my finer years), now on the look out for a Triton motorcycle project.

58 with my golf 10 years ago. Hopefully my son at 21 with his golf will continue or even convert it to electric.
