Technical / 1.6D IDI Timing marks
Hi all. Im doing a timing belt on my new to me 1.6D 1985 golf. All was going well until I realized that the TDC mark on the flywheel doesn’t actually line up with where TDC is on the engine, camshaft, and IP. They’re like 60° off maybe. Engine runs just fine. I drove it into the shop and haven’t took any of the timing components apart yet.
Where should I start to remedy this? It has the 5 speed manual 020 trans… and my Bentley isn’t here yet 😂
