steering column bearing replacement October 28, 2022, 04:44:06 AM the steering column bearingssound like they are eating them selves up,even if the steering wheel goes smooth(although slightly feeling the vibrations).it has been like this for a while and it is not worsening.could there however be security implications,like a suddenly blocking steering wheel ?has anyone had this issue before ?how to get the bearings out ?which replacement bearings do fit ?
Re: steering column bearing replacement Reply #1 – November 18, 2022, 06:25:24 PM now i have a picture of the noisy bearing:instead of a top bearing in one part, i found a bush and a support ring, which probably belong to it, but no rolls:the lower bearing, which is probably still ok, is on heritage parts:
