Im struggling to find the correct replacement trim for my 1988 GTi campaign model. It will be going for a respray later this year and i want to sourxe the correct door moulding and Gzti logo for this particular edition. Does anybody manufacturer these ?
They are completely different to anything ive seen at Heritage parts and appear to be a single unit. I could kill the repairers who removed them 20 years sgo following AD repairs without asking me first

Hi I'm a long term owner of a Mk 2 GTi from new. Drove it off the Alan Day forecourt on 1st August 1988.
Its now showing its age and I'm looking for advice about where to go to have the rust and repairs sorted. Mechanically sound but if I don't deal with the rot, well we all know that only goes one way. I'm not looking to mod the car just to keep it on the road, tidy and original. Any advice or suggestion welcome.
I live in Herts but also in the West Midlands so location of recommended restoration not restricted to the south east. Is there a particular forum I should join/look at?
