inner seat rail cover - getting plastic pin out September 02, 2022, 06:08:54 PM wanting to exchange the seat slide bearing,i need to remove the inner seat rail cover.on some models there is a black screw in,on perhaps even earlier models there is a plastic pin.does anybody know how to remove it without unnecessary damage ?

Re: inner seat rail cover - getting plastic pin out Reply #3 – September 03, 2022, 01:13:39 PM On my late Golf it is a plastic fixing with a 2mm plastic rod through the middle to splay the pins out and secure it in place. Similar fixing used for the plastic seat sides to cover the tilt/recline mechanism.Use a blunt nail to push the rod out through the bottom.
