"uncommon" st mk2 golf gti

Hi all after having 5 mk 2 golf gti' 4 of which were 8v and 1 h plate 3dr oak green 16v , I can't understand why people are saying the oak green was the  "uncommon" st when it wasn't,  best colour don't get me wrong ! But the  "uncommon" st colour the mk 2 golf gti came in was stratos blue which I didn't find out until it had gone .

You may notice the forum is taking the word R.a.r.e and replacing it with uncommon to counter act the over use of that term.

Many things are listed as r.a.r.e when they weren’t really. It’s hype.

For me I’m not a fan of Oak green, it’s a bit of an old man’s colour and doesn’t really shout sports car for me.

Unless you’re in a British car in racing green then I think red, white or black are the “sporty” colours. With blue maybe creeping in.

I am fond of calypso green as a colour but again it doesn’t scream GTI which is probably why it’s not that popular
