Tailgate lock on Mk2 GTI 8v 5door

Hi everyone i don't suppose someone could help me, I recently bought a non runner Mk2 GTI 8v 5door which i'm gonna do a restoration on. trying to fix the rear tailgate lock which has central locking. I don't need to central locking part i just need the push lock with rod. will this be possible to get my hands on?

HI James,

I had the same issue with my restoration, I bought a second hand one and fitted it, but it kept sticking in, I tried lubing it up, but no luck.
In the end I bought a new one from Heritage and put the original key barrel in. Works a treat now.
