Mk2 gti father & Son project

Hi all,

Just dropping by to introduce myself. I'm Will and together with my 10 year old so Arran we are going to tackle our recently purchased mk2 golf gti project.

The project came about after Arran was diagnosed with Birkett Lymphoma cancer. He is currently under going chemotherapy treatment which has his staying full time I hospital until early to mid November with the oncology team very positive of a full recovery.

Anyway we found and purchased an atlas grey 1991 gti with a 2.0 16v conversion done

Somewhere along its life someone decided to convert it from a big bumper GTI to small bumper and remove the skirts and arches too.

Anyway we hope to restore it back to a big bumper arched car with a few mods along the way.

Thanks all.

Best of luck to your son. The project will give him something to focus on.

Hi and welcome.

As above, good luck with the treatments for your son and that will be a great project to look forward to when he's back on his feet.
My lad is only 5, but I hope one day, he'll want to do a project too!
