Hi there April 05, 2026, 12:18:18 PM I’m james, living in st neots Cambridgeshire. I currently own a 1989 black GTi, although currently it is a rollable shell I have big plans for the car and to get it back to being road legal. I also own a 2005 Audi a3 3.2 Quattro. So at some point these two will be combined, been planning to do so with a body swap because it seems the most practical way to do it. Obviously the vehicles are slightly different sizes but any insight into the best way to make the gti a VRTurbo Quattro from the two cars will be appreciated. It’ll be track spec, road legal and if it’s not pushing 900hp Isit worth even doing it.? 😈 My dad had a white 16v ‘E40HEG’ when I was young and since then the mk2 is the hot hatch to have. I owned a grey 8v gti years ago and had to let it go but wanted one again ever since. This is my second black 3door shell, the previous was a driver and I sold it because the guy said he was going to put it on the road, he didn’t and I was gutted when he said it went to the scrapyard…..Once I get started on this build properly I will post updates
