Hello from Brighton! July 02, 2020, 07:08:00 PM Hello everyone!Hope you’re all well!Owned a Tornado red J reg (92) big bumper 8v gti since last October, so literally one of the last of the mk2’s. I’ve wanted one for years and years so finally! It wasn’t in bad nick when I got it, done a few minor jobs on it and other than a repaint (eventually haha), it’s in pretty good condition. It’s mostly original too and it’s the way I want to keep it. I am thinking of doing some subtle engine mods that can’t be seen. It’s already got a bigger exhaust and k&n air filter. I’m thinking more aggressive cam, bigger manifold, get it chipped, electronic distributor and get it ported. Anyone got any other ideas, tips & advice please? I know without swapping the engine, the gains won’t be mega for either horses or torque but a little more would be nice :-) Also, probably the wrong place for this but are there any planned (socially distanced) meet ups in and around Brighton/Sussex area in the near future?Cheers Last Edit: July 02, 2020, 07:43:13 PM by Timmus
