Increasing Turbo Diesel Power

Hi all,

I recently bought a 1.6 TD CL, original built in 1986 in Germany, now in Portugal. I believe it has around 65BHP.

I was wondering if there was an easy way of increasing power. I have been looking at buying a GTD Intercooler, would that be worth it?

I've also heard there is a screw on the fuel pump to allow more fuel into the engine? Any little tips and tricks would be much appreciated on my 450,000 km's Golf
