I have very slowly progressing a similar fault. Tried lots of items new blue sensor new fuel pressure regulator new plugs. Spayed brake cleaner on all the vacuum lines . No improvement by now running low on fuel new fuel problem virtually disappeared still a bit temperamental but loads better I now think the injection nozzles might be a bit clogged as its occasionally cutting out when the revs drop to tick over usually its fine drops to 900rpm but not always but restarts straight away.
Hi jacking a little but i have this problem. cold start is fine run the car for till slightly warm and leave it for a short while it is reluctant to start and will not tick over, hold the revs at 2000 for a short while and it then runs normally. I have replaced the blue temp sensor and the fuel pressure regulator no improvement. The isv buzzes away quite happily so I think that's ok. I am getting to the point where I don't know what to do next. What have either of you tried?
Blue temp sensor is a good starting point. I would get one made by hella. Failing that check all the vacuum lines for cracks and the hoses from isv to the manifold and the crankcase breather including the rocker box bung to the inlet manifold.
Hi monkey sadly blue temp sensor did not fix the problem for me. My issue persists car starts from cold perfectly ticks over at 900rpm when the engine is warm stop the engine and immediately restart and the engine revs up to1500rpm and drops to 500 rpm it does this 3 or 4 times before settling down to idle at 900rpm. leave the car off for a short while and it will not run without some throttle being applied it soon settles down and idles at 900rpm.
Hi I am currently experiencing similar issues. I can start the car from cold fires straight away and runs perfectly. When the car warms up I have the same issue as you. I think the fault lies with the blue temperature sender I have ordered a replacement and am awaiting its arrival so can not say if that is the issue yet. Out of interest I ordered a hella replacement as I understand other makes are thought to be unreliable.
Hi if you are looking for the last type fitted you are going to be very lucky to find any if you do they are going to be expensive. They do appear occasionally on fleabay.
