Someone's been busy!

Momo transformation is startling, well done. The standard wheel is probably the only iffy part of MK2's for me. Don't think I've ever kept the original on, even when I was driving them back in the 80/90's.

Brave man tackling the MFA display, not sure I'd have the courage but very good to know it can be done if the need arises. Wonder why they seem to be so susceptible to failing, just old tech?

The illumination on some of my switches is quite dim, be interested in a 'how to' if you have the time. Tried opening up some old spare window switches, but couldn't get them to go back together properly again.

The Night Design VDO's are quite hard to come by in the UK, less so in Germany but now proving difficult to get sent here unfortunately.

They're unusual for VDO's in that the bezels will twist off if you're very, very, very careful.

Long time ago saw some 'Oettinger' branded VDO's up for grabs on eBay, went for what was big money back then and now you know how it was done!

Good work on the data sticker, looks very authentic. If you look into the factory equipment / option codes you could tailor it to match any additions you've made to your car.

There's a corresponding sticker for the log owners service shedule, be an added touch maybe?

Thanks! Really happy with the MOMO wheel now, probably could do with being done again now I'm using it.. haven't noticed random rough spots.

The MFA display I believe is just ok tech, the screen bleeds.. @L90E I can give you a walkthrough on replacing if you ever need it.. let me know. It was different to all how tos as the clocks were different..

The led switches was a bit of a faff.. I can do one better and send you over some details as well with all how to do it 👍👍

Thanks on the sticker, I've realised I've done a tweak since this photo but yeh need to see if there's anything I can add..
And no wasn't aware of the log owners sticker?? Have you a photo of this?

It's possible LR Discovery MK1 (Part # AMR2496) have the same window switches as the MK2.

If they have green illumination, they're still available new for small money and would be an easy fix... yet to look any further into that though, maybe someone else already has?

The log book sticker is just the boot one with some detail removed.

If you're finding the leather dye is rubbing through give it a coat of Fiebings Resolene, comes in clear or black, and seals it in.

Log book sticker is W - 88mm. H - 75mm

A bit down the list of things to do, so no rush, but if you could send how to's for both replacing the switch bulbs and the MFA that would be great, thanks.

I have finally completed these stickers.. albeit I could have just ordered from Germany, but I needed something to entertain me at the moment!

Old one

The font is a direct copy of the original that I made from scratch.. also measurements and are pulled from my sticker.

Basically too much detail went into this thing.. but im happy with the result..

@t2000 pointed out a mistake, sorted and now here it is 🤘🤘

Also i fitted my t piece and sender to the engine.. I'm starting to lose my cool with these gauges and lose sight of their use.. I've never felt so defeated by something..
T piece in and VW sender with VDO sender in, plugged in and still showing full 5 on the gauge when car up to full temp... Tried everything, seems the senderaybe isn't earthed correctly or the guage wiring is dodgy.. but the other 3 work fine and the earth etc is in unison as per this image..

Here's to trying again..

Hey in regards to your dash led upgrade did you have to replace the original circuit board or just modify it?
