Mk2 golf 1.3 1987 steering wheel spline??

My horn in my steering wheel isn’t working, so before I order a steering wheel I was wondering what spline should my steering wheel be?
Is there a quick way to know without taking off my steering wheel?

Thanks :)

Hi don't know what the spline should be Why do you think you need a new wheel?

My mechanic told me that the horn is working and the fault is in the steering wheel and I need a new one or at least new internals to get the horn to work but I thought for me it might just be more straight forward to get a whole whee then sell the not working one

Take your wheel off and I'm sure the solution will be obvious. They are very simple things.

All sorts of stuff done, lots more to do!

The horn system is very simple it consists of 2 wires a positive and negative wire when you press the horn button it makes the circuit and the horn works. Cant remember exactly but I think the brown fits to the connection on the metal plate under the cover.

1987 should still be small spline, but as above. Higly unlikley you need a new steering wheel, just work out what's wrong and fix the horn. Don't forget it could be the horn itself. located in front of the radiator I think. you can put two wires from the battery directly on to it to make sure that is working.
