I have found an original pic of the engine, it shows the dished pulley on the water pump on mine therefore the plain pulley that came with the car (was not fitted when I picked up the engine as one can see) must be for the PS.
The bottom pulley on my PS is not dished, the pulley on my WP is, so my question is if I swap these will i also need the spacer mentioned before so that the pulley does not fowl the PS pump?
thanks both but the thing is as far as I know the car and therefore the pump, pulley and brackets is original so is it possible i have bolted it back together incorrectly?
Hi all, i have a shell for sale, reasonably solid 5 door with glass, doors etc. The original seats and door cards come with it, also in place are the engine and box and running gear, it got power steering as well. I have the V5 and its SORN in my name. There are other bits with the car but essentially you are buying a rolling (just) shell. The car is in Hull, i could trailer it a reasonable distance or arrange transportation if required at extra cost.
Hi all, the pulley on my PS pump is way out of alignment, the pulley looks like it should be 10mm or more further away from the pump. Its not dished so i cant flip it. As far as i know its to one that came with the car, the alt & water pump line up fine. There is talk of a spacer and I found a part number (068145193A) but i cant see how that would fit. any ideas?
Hi All I am completing my rebuild and about to try and start the engine, i bought the car with it removed and have been piecing it together over the last two years, my question related to no spark and as far as i can see no coil switching, i have so far: Checked the hall sensor, this is fine as when i rotate it the fuel pumps run, I have power on 01 & 15 at the coil, and power and earth to the amp, and I have tried a spare amp as well, I have however noticed that i am missing the idle stabilization control unit under the dash (i have it somewhere but can lay my hand on it as yet) and I am wondering if that being removed would lead to a loss of spark? As far as I can see from the CFD its not part of the ignition side per se, it connected but not in series - any ideas? Phil
OK thanks, all the pipes I was supplied with are new (Meyle) and they seem to fit perfectly without this 'thing', the matrix is MK3 and new so it should be fine, thanks all
Anyone know how the pipes are plumed? I have a metal manifold inline in mine but it was not fitted in the car when i got it (engine had been removed) so I have no idea where it goes, looks like its some some of valve to aid air bleeds? Phil
