@yellowriv Do you mean the rubber scrapers at the bottom of the windows or the rubber surround.

I got my rubber scapers from Classic VW but not sure what the postage would be for you. Quality is pretty good. Unfortunately they didn't come with any tell-tale manufacturer packing. Looks like VW Heritage sell them too. This link indicates the brand being Kafer but don't know what the quality is like.

A member did the artwork and Pukka Designs made them up.
However times have changed and getting the correct reg font is a problem. Mine are really show plates but are exactly the same as the originals !
I believe there are some that will still make them up.  ;)

Mine is registered J833KLY so I'd guess your'a was supplied by Collingdale in London. I had some new plates, rear screen sticker and tax disk holder made up as copies to the originals.

New Members Say Hi! / Re: Evening all
A lot of spit and polish and it could be a Nimbus 2022! LOL.
If it brings you pleasure, broken by the odd frustration, then why not!

I've never had my headlining off so have nothing to compare. I'm assuming the rusty hole above the red drawn line shouldn't be there?
I guess it is a case of doing the best repair without creating more work / bodging.
Could all the rust be removed and a piece of metal bonded in? Less scope for distortion widespread damage. It won't be original but could provide an alternative repair.
After all many new cars use bonded panels.

General Chat / Re: Brake bleed kits
I've used Ezi Bleed in the past. But I didn't lower the pressure on the spare tyre I was using so had a bit of spillage. Lesson learned. It worked quite well.

Regional Meets / Re: Combining Christmas meal & Fri 2 Dec meet
I'm really sorry not to be able to make this!  Working too late that evening in the run-up to Christmas.

Looking forward to seeing you all in 2023.

In that case like me you could get a Toby Carvery take away breakfast from your local off the "Too Good To Go" app. Only £2.79 and celebrate from afar. Unfortunately I can't be there because I live in sunny Yorkshire and it's a tad too far.  :D

Just a bit of a plug really. Try the app tho.

Re the sunroof. Probs best using some paint friendly tape to seal it since whilst ever the water gets in there will be mould but also a danger of the floors rotting through.
I'd consider putting converter on the rust since unfortunately it is only going to get worse.
Hopefully next year we'll get some nice long dry periods and you'll get chance to make progress.

Looks in surprisingly good condition with little rust. Is that the case?
Can't help suggest a solution to the choke since I"ve not had a car with a manual one for years!
Re the sunroof leak. Have you tried clearing out the 4x sunroof drain channels? If that fails maybe duck tape the sunroof until you can fix in the spring?
Re mould. When my car was out of action on the drive I wound the windows down 1cm to let the air flow. That stopped the mould but I didn't have a leak.
Perhaps you need to think about replacing the timing belt/water pump too.
Can't remember what the colour your car is but believe it was introduced in the run-out before the MK3.
