We bought this a donor for our Mk2 1.3 so we are using the engine and gearbox, fuel tank, associated looms and gear linkages. Everything else is available. I'm happy to post normal size stuff but large items will need to be collected from near Jnc 6 M25. I can post pictures here or send by Whatsapp (preferable). Let me know what you need 07907 785653. Thanks Phil
It's nowhere near the same as water, electricity etc. and I'm not going to be melodramatic about it but so much is better done (or increasingly can only be done) with decent internet access that not having it genuinely impacts on your day to day life.
Can only download SKY films in SD and even then have to plan what we want to see in advance so it can downloaded overnight when we're asleep.
Youtube is 480p only and often less / unobtainable.
Amazon isn't so bad, but again depending on time of day, buffers like mad.
Had thought about moving, but be worried the wife might find out where I've gone!
We are with Virgin and I've just run a test. On my computer which is hard wired I'm getting110 down and 10 up. My phone says its getting 150 on the wifi. We pay £44 for just internet. We don't have a landline.
I have these Cookie Cutters for sale. 2 x 6 inch and 2 x 7 inch 5x130PCD They have been blasted and then anodised. I then sprayed them the colour you see. There are a couple of chips to the paint but I will include what's left of the paint (2k) so you can touch them up. The only chips are either to the centre where they are covered by the centre caps (not included) or in the close ups. Anything else is light reflection - they are super shiny There is no kerb damage. £250 collected please. Jnc 6 M25.
I did this job very recently, replaced the matrix and junked the valves. I used the standard matrix. Just FYI, you don't need to remove the dash to do it, just the heating and ventilation part. It took two of us 6 hours to do but that included a good clean and re-foaming the flaps, draining and refilling the system. Made a world of difference though. TBH I think this is a maintenance/replacement job that should be done every 5 years but flushing and replacing the coolant every other year or more often would make a big difference too.
Hi All, As part of our Mk2 1.3 to Mk3 GTi engine swap we need from a 1.6 or 1.8:
Complete gearstick and linkages through to the engine bay and to the gearbox . Both front and rear engine mount brackets and the gearbox mount bracket.
Since we now have mega brakes and have replaced the original wheels they are up for sale. Four 14" steel wheels with Kumho Ecowing ES31 185/60 R14 82H tyres like new. The tyres have been on the car for about 8 months so the tread is still pretty much all there. Tyres are dated as 2620 and one at 2720. All good, no repairs or nicks etc etc. The wheels are well used and would need a good refurb if going on a nice car but are fine as run arounds or spares. £100 the lot, collected from close to jnc 6 M25 (right at the bottom ).
How soon do you need/want and would you consider just the engine.
There is no rush but I have a garage waiting for it to go in. I'd rather have the whole car because that way when stuff comes out I can make notes etc about how it goes back. Especially wiring. I also need the tank and fuel lines etc etc. The other thing is with a whole car I know for sure it runs and how it runs. Also, as Eddy says, there is some money to be made back on selling what I don't want.
Thanks Eddy, Yes Mk3.5 is a good option. I've seen that one on Ebay and it looks like a good option but it's a 4-5 hour drive from me. I shall hang out for something much closer to home.
