is your part attached to it and is it the right one ?
i do not know what they mean with abs, if it is for the building they say it for the 83-92 models but also a abs (antilock-braking) version or is abs just a part of a name, here ?
The flasher is on the front and the steady light on the side. It is powered by 5 mono cells, which makes it rather heavy.
In the new times, a friend has put in LED's, a Li-Ion-Cell and some electronics in between.
Since they do not take as long to light up, one could shorten the flashing by bridging the middle resistor of the 5 you see after opening the case, he figured.
without further information, i would not be able to tell you if a t3 cluster would be compatible with a mk2 one.
if not somebody else in the forum or the internet, there is volkswagen, maybe even their museum, witch should be able to answer such questions.
you could however compare the conductor paths and modules of the kit and see if it is electrically identical with the foil assembly. maybe you could ask the dealer, if you could send it back if it does not match.
another thing to consider is the shape of the circuit boards of the kit being adapted to the shape of a t3 cluster, which is different from a mk2 one.
i would grab the soldering iron and skip the expensive kit.
10am friday to 2pm sunday ? is there cheap/good campingsite/hotel around for the night before/after the event ? any requirements apart from a passport for aliens ?
