History of vehicles owned

I started this just for fun on the old forum, so I thought I’d bring it across. Sorry to anyone that posted before, I haven’t copied over your posts.

I’ve made a list of the various vehicles I've owned. In chronological order starting in 1990 when I bought a 13 year old TR7 as a fixer upper whilst I was just 15 myself (A month before my 16th) - 2 years in the garage and ready to drive when I was 18!

I don't think I've missed anything out.

I've also had a couple of JetSki's Kawasaki 400 (with a custom sonic the hedgehog paint job) and Yamaha Superjet 650 - awesome machine.

2 x banger racing cars (Mk2 Escort and Chevette)
and long term borrowed or had shares in a mix of other vehicles including:
Series 2a Land Rover LWB Safari
Hillman Avenger
Shocking choice in vehicle Viva Estate (Which later got banger raced by my mate when I had the chevette.
And shared a few off-road bikes.

Passed my test in 1987 so here goes.......

1973 Ford Cortina 1.6L in orange (written off & scrapped)
1978 Lada 1500S in dark blue
1986 Austin Montego 1.6L in proper BL beige!! (incredibly rusty for a 3 year old car!)
1987 MG Montego Turbo in white (stupidly fast and had very wild torque steer when it was given a proper boot  8) )
1984 Suzuki SJ410 in a lovely hand-painted green
1986 Fiat Panda 1000CL in black & rust
1989 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Firefly in red
1991 Rover 820 Se in gunmetal grey (who knew you could get so much car that would last for 2 years for £200!)
1995 Rover 820 SLi in champagne
2003 Vectra 2.2 SXi in dark blue (purchased new as had a new baby but lasted 6 months before getting written off!!)
2004 Vectra 2.2 SXi in dark blue (replacement from insurance company)
2001 Vectra 1.8LS in silver (the wife's old station & shopping car)
2001 Vectra 1.8 SRI in red (bought for the 1/2 leather & alloys for wife's LS then sold for nearly as much as I bought it for)
1969 Triumph Spitfire MK3 in red (in our family from 1985 then passed onto me in 2005 but too much work so sold to fund my GTI)
2008 Zafira 1.9 CDTi in gold (the old family hack)
2005 Volkswagen Golf GT TDi in black (the wife's old shopping car)

1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI 8v in black (owned since 2013 and will not be sold)
2016 Volkswagen Polo 1.2 R-Line (shoppng & school run car)
2018 Volkswagen Tiguan 240 BiTDI in grey (family car and caravan tug)
1988 8v GTI, 3 door in black.  It's a bit like me, doesn't look too bad from a distance but up close.......:D

This will be a relatively short list as I buy cars and keep them until they run no longer or somebody writes them off.

I'd be here all day, passed in 90 after failing twice in 88, first was a mini clubman estate 1976 but since then I totalled up the cars I had about 5 years ago and it was over 60, probably more like 80 now, sounds a lot but had my mini when i was 15 so 37 years just over 2 a year, I will make another list one day.
