Oh and I still have a mark where I took off the headlight adjustment sticker , it wasn’t supposed to be on my 88 after I had spent ages sourcing one

Had a google of driver brochures, doesn’t appear to be a stripe on the bumper in most cover pictures … However the later 1991 brochure shows a Driver with a red strip bumper… could have been an end of the line load it with all the goodies thing … perhaps you could benefit from finding a brochure on line

Not 100% but I think there was no red striping or chrome on the car… there is a brochure section in the 0EM section , might be some more info in there somewhere…

So having killed the other one and nearly myself I have taken the agreed value payout and found another … currently having a great time cleaning it up but atm it doesn’t run as fuel isn’t reaching the carb… Simple mechanics which is just about doable for me …
Not everyone’s cup of tea some May remember them fondly I hope to keep a little build thread , it’s a 1989 C90 MG ( electric start ) 1604 miles on the clock

Mk2's seem to have turned a corner.  A few years ago, you bolted another engine into it and it bumped the value by at least 1k.
I've done a fair few in my day, not to make money, just to make the car go faster, at the time I couldn't give the original engines away.  But also, back then you could pick up a tidy mk2 for £500, that is very much not the case nowadays!

Back in 2008 people would have gone nuts if they knew I paid £3k for mine , remember people saying no Mk2 is worth more than a grand
